i bought curby march 18th, 2005 from a private seller in illinois. at the time of purchase, he had a little under 83,000 miles on him. i paid $7350 for him. he was originally listed for about $8000, but the price came down because he'd been sitting so long. apparently, no one wanted to take a chance on a car with that many miles! the car drove great and the interior was and still is immaculate. however, curby had a lot of cosmetic damage, including huge scratches to the front bumper, dents on the side skirt, paint flaking on the passenger's side under door and a big scrape on the rear fender. some items have been fixed, some will not ever be fixed.

items below are all the maintenance and "mods" that have been done to my car. i have less than two years of payments to make on curby, but i've spent over $3300 on cosmetic and maintenance on the beetle in the past 27 months. that's an extra $125 a month. sheesh, i should have bought a newer model! :gah:

04/13/05       83,400 oil change, cabin air filter, look over for general problems car x, bettendorf. dan elias. 563.355.3555 dan said alignment should be done (there's uneven wear on the tires), check brakes in two weeks. rust on brakes from car sitting too long. at 90K do fluids flush. otherwise, all things look OK!
